The Don Geronimo Show - January 30, 2013
Don begins with his visit to the acupuncturist yesterday, including him having to strip down to his underwear, getting over 30 needles stuck in him, and letting two beefers go in the process. After a visit from "Forrest Flacco," the guys talk about Media Day in New Orleans yesterday, and this gets the guys talking about different football announcers, especially the really crappy ones. We also see a website that allows you to buy Heinz ketchup bottles with your own personalized label.
After an early phone scan, we find out that Drew took Joe Montana's daughter to the prom when he was in high school, and Don talks about how effed up his mom is, before showing the guys a video on xvideo.com of Jennifer Aniston topless. We then get a visit from Don's old buddy, the great Jim Nantz. Jim, who is in New Orleans, will be calling his 5th Super Bowl for CBS this Sunday, and talks to Don about his "thing" for Tom Brady, how crazy radio row is this year, meeting with the Harbaugh family today, and this being one of the years where he calls the Super Bowl, the NCAA Final Four, and the Masters all in the same year.
After some fun with Dwight Clark's voice mail, we get a visit from UFC fighter Frankie Edgar. Frankie, who is fighting Jose Aldo at UFC 156 this weekend for the featherweight title, tells the guys about his preparations for the upcoming bout. We also hear Ray Lewis' response on Media Day to PED allegations, and an 84 year old man playing XBOX for the first time. Then Noodles comes in the studio and the guys give him hell for not coming to Reno with them in two weeks (his girl won't let him). It's then time for the "Phantom News." Today, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo tells Dr. Phil he's gay and "confused", Roseanne will make an appearance on "The Office", an "Entourage" movie is in the works, and an Alabama woman gets 4 speeding tickets in one day. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
