The Don Geronimo Show - August 17, 2012
Today is Billy/Danny's last day at 1140 The Fan, and Sales Guy Sean is taking over his position. Don calls in Billy, Sean, and Ron Ron to talk about the change, and send them out to Niello Dodge to give away Marshall Tucker tickets and gas cards, but not before Don and the guys talk about their drinking habits, and Steve and Craig fool around on their acoustic guitars. Don then sends Craig and Steve out to harass fast food places at the drive-thru, and plays a song autotuned to the famous "Damn Damn Damn" scene from "Good Times."
We then get a visit from our good friend, the lovely and very talented singer/songwriter Lindsey Pavao. Lindsey, who will be performing at a charity event at Shine Coffee in Sacramento this evening, tells us about her experience on "The Voice" since the last time we spoke with her, life after "The Voice," touring and doing shows, and even jams with the guys a bit, including a song she performed on "The Voice" entitled, "Somebody That I Used To Know," with Craig and Steve on their guitars.
After Lindsey, Don gets a call from Sean, who is standing by with the lucky winners of the concert tickets and gas cards, and the guys play "Foreign Or Domestic" with convenience stores in Memphis, before Don makes his weekly call to Green Bay. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us about the Russian rock band "Pussy Riot" being sentenced to 2 years in prison for "Hooliganism," the movies that come out this weekend, and Jennifer Aniston wants a pre-nup. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
