The Don Geronimo Show - April 16, 2013
Today, the guys spend most of the show talking about the awful tragedy at the Boston Marathon yesterday, in which two bombs exploded at the finish line, injuring over a hundred and killing at least 3. The guys discuss the emotions they've been feeling the past 24 hours, the facts we have at the moment, the news coverage, and the Twitter machine, which all the guys have been glued to.
Don also cuts in with live coverage of the Boston PD Commissioner's press conference, as well as President Obama's address to the nation. Callers weigh in their emotions as well, as Don plays different clips from the tragedy, including the actual bomb detonations, news reports, and Conan O'Brien and Craig Ferguson's reactions on their shows last night. Don also reads Patton Oswalt's Facebook post regarding the tragedy, which the guys all found pretty inspiring.
It's then time for the "Phantom News." Today, more news from Boston, and the London Marathon will still go on as planned. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100.
