The Don Geronimo Show - April 15, 2013
With Phantom back, the guys are back at full strength, and Don starts the day by telling us about the couple he saw at Raley's that had their baby sitting in the shell of a real watermelon! The guys also talk a bit about the Masters over the weekend, including Tiger Woods' 2 stroke penalty, which was caught by a TV viewer, and CBS' coverage of the tournament with our good buddy Jim Nantz. We also hear about a high school teacher in Albany, NY who gave her students a Nazi propaganda homework assignment, and Don actually calls the school later in the show. Don then tells us about a radio show with Autistic people hosting, and calls Abe Vigoda to talk about the passing of Jonathan Winters.
After hearing that Ozzy and Sharon have split up, Don reads a list of the snobbiest "wine terms," and we see a 500 lb woman who can balance things on her ass! We also hear about Justin Bieber's visit to the Anne Frank house, and a Police Chief in Ohio who ate an entire cake, not knowing there was pot in it. The guys then get into another Rotating Random Phone Scan, and during the scan, the guys begin tweeting that the show will be going on all the CBS Sacramento radio stations, to see what kind of reaction they'll get.
We also get a collect call from Deuce Mason's dad, who's in prison, but when Don brings Deuce in the studio, the call gets cut off by the prison due to "insufficient funds." It's then time for the "Phantom News." Today, and MTV VMA recap, a controversial McDonald's Bic Mac ad, the Kool Aid man is getting a new look, and a transgender gets busted for using the women's restroom. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
