Testing On Broken Bay Bridge Bolts Begins In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Caltrans will begin testing Thursday on some of the rods removed from the Bay Bridge in Sacramento to figure out why 32 of them broke.

The California Transportation Commission says it'll cost between $5 million and $10 million to repair the rods, which snapped in March while being tightened.

The bridge is still scheduled to open on Labor Day.
