Temple Coffee Recognized Once More As One Of The Best Roasters In Country
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — It was a night to roast and toast at a Sacramento coffee house as it receives a top honor.
It's the latest award for Temple Coffee, which has already been named one of the top-six roasters in the country.
There's a spirit inside this place called Temple Coffee that's as deep as the roast they nurture.
From the handling of the beans to the heat that gives warmth to the process, you quickly realize this is an art form.
And the artist, head roaster Eton Tsuno has mastered his craft.
"I haven't been here once and had a bad experience drinking a drink.
Naming Sacramento's Temple Coffee one of the best roasters in the country, the acclaimed food website Daily Meal served up these latest accolades. But why?
"They care about the product they serve."
The man who helps choose the product travels the world, paying top dollar to farmers who produce small, high-quality supplies.
"It's nice that we're able to represent the producers and represent all the hard work that's gone into the coffee."
Coffee that comes at a higher price. But that doesn't seem to phase the fan base.
"If you're willing to pay for the best, it's definitely worth it."
"The taste is completely different from anything else."
And anything other than perfection would be considered a sin in this Temple.
"The purpose of my roasting is to interpret the coffee and expose the flavors that are naturally in it, and we train our barista staff and everyone serving here to do the same thing."
And as they do the same thing, they're confident it's way different than anyone else
From bean to bean, and farm to cup, inside this Temple, good coffee is a higher calling.
