Temperatures To Warm Up Midweek
The cold weather continues as we approach the work week, but some changes are ahead.
Sunday was quite chilly in many valley locations. Sacramento only made it to 47 degrees when the normal should be in the mid 50s.
Overnight lows will be below freezing again, with most valley spots landing in the mid to upper 20s. The foothills will drop to the low 20s and the high Sierra will be in the single digits. Lake Tahoe and Truckee will fall to 14 degrees below zero.
That trend will play out for a couple more days before warmer weather arrives.
By Wednesday our daytime highs in Sacramento will creep back into the mid 50s, but overnight lows will remain near or below freezing.
Mostly sunny skies will be the norm most of the week, with more cloud cover moving in by Thursday.
Overnight freezing temperatures should finish up by the end of the week.
A storm system brewing in the Pacific could bring the chance for showers by the end of the week.
