Temperatures To Remain In Low 70s; Slight Chance For Rain

It was a wonderful end to the weekend with sunshine and above normal temperatures throughout the Sacramento Valley Sunday.

Monday temperatures will hold steady in the low 70s, but more cloud cover is expected as a storm system spins off the coast. However, it will weaken by the time it reaches land late Monday night.

Rain showers will start along the coast and spread inland by Tuesday morning, with the best chance for rain along the coastal range north of Interstate 80.

Sacramento has a slight chance for rain Tuesday morning and in the early afternoon. By late Tuesday, this system will fall apart with its remnants moving to the north.

Behind it, the system will bring more sun and slightly warmer temperatures.

The next shot for rain will be next weekend.
