Teen's Stray Bullet Enters South Sac Bedroom
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A teen suspect was arrested after allegedly firing a gun from his backyard into the bedroom of a neighbor's home, authorities said.
South Sacramento resident Jamie Lao said she discovered the bullet hole in her bedroom window Thursday, finding the bullet lying on her floor after being stopped by the bedroom wall.
"Both my husband and I are really fortunate," Lao said. "It could have easily taken a life."
Lao called authorities, who determined that the bullet had traveled through two backyards before going through the window. A teen boy, who apparently bought the gun from another minor, decided to fire the gun from his backyard for unknown reasons.
The suspect was booked into juvenile hall. His name is not being released due to his age.
