Teen Finds Stranger Watching Her In Bedroom
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A teen girl received the shock of a lifetime when she awoke early in the morning to find a strange man inside her bedroom, watching her sleep.
Police said it's likely the unidentified suspect snuck into the victim's home through an unlocked window, and with the lights off, the man made his way into the 16-year-old girl's bedroom.
The victim said she stayed quiet for a moment when she awoke to find the man standing silent at the foot of her bed.
"I couldn't say anything. I couldn't scream," she said.
When she found her voice, she yelled for help, and her older sister dashed into the room to help, spotting the man fleeing out of the window while trying to cover his face with his shirt.
"He was standing there watching and waiting to see when he was going to make his move or attack her," the victim's sister said. "He could have raped her, did anything to her, took her out the window with him."
Police said they only have a very limited description of the suspect, calling him an 18- or 19-year-old African American male wearing dark clothing.
