Teen Arrested For Violent Home Invasion
STOCKTON (CBS13) – A teen suspect was arrested after allegedly forcing his way into an apartment at gunpoint and robbing the occupants Thursday, authorities said.
The Stockton Police Department said the 17-year-old male suspect knocked on the door of an apartment on the 600 block of North Monroe Street shortly after 12:30 p.m. and pulled out a handgun when one of the occupants answered.
The teen struck a 24-year-old male victim over the head with the gun and forced him and a 24-year-old female victim to lie on the ground while he searched their apartment.
Officers spotted the gunman as he attempted to flee with a video game console and a small amount of cash, and took the boy into custody after a short foot pursuit.
The suspect is facing charges of residential robbery, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest. Due to his age, the teen's name has not been released.
