Teen Allegedly Killed Father, Stabbed Mother

DENAIR, Calif. (CBS13) -- A teen daughter has been arrested and accused of stabbing her parents, killing her father, authorities said.

Investigators have released few details into the motive behind the alleged attack that led to the death of 62-year-old Kenneth Wills on Mother's Day, but friends and relatives claimed 17-year-old Shanna Wills had recently rebelled and experimented with drugs while threatening to commit suicide.

Other accounts painted the teen as a regular teenager who excelled at schoolwork until her recent erratic behavior.

Relatives said Shanna started stabbing her father during an argument Sunday night, and attacked her mother when she tried to intervene.

The mother, whose identity has not been released, suffered a puncture wound to her lung but is expected to survive.

Shanna Wills is in custody at juvenile hall, officials said.
