Teen Airlifted To Hospital After Shooting Self In Head

STOCKTON, Calif. (CBS13) – A 15-year-old boy was critically hurt after being accidentally shot in the head Wednesday, according to neighbors.

A group of people were apparently playing with a gun in a residence on Dundee Drive when it was accidentally discharged, sending a bullet into the victim's head.

The circumstances leading up to the accident are unknown.

The teen was airlifted to the UC Davis Medical Center in critical condition.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
