UPDATE: Wanted Suspects Named In Stockton Quik Stop Robbery, Assault
STOCKTON (CBS13) - The Stockton Police Department on Thursday identified two suspects wanted in a convenience store robbery earlier this month.
Police have issued arrest warrants for Ryan Miner, 23, and Matthew Riddle, 19, for the robbery of a Quik Stop market on Feb. 3. A female suspect, Brooke Ekas, 22, turned herself in to detectives on Feb. 8. She was booked at the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of robbery, burglary and criminal conspiracy.
Two other male suspects remain unidentified.
Police previously released surveillance photos of the robbery. A clerk reported that at 5:30 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday, two male suspects entered the convenience store in the 3500 block of W. Hammer Lane and tried to buy cigarettes. They became upset when the clerk asked for identification. They went outside briefly, then came back in and assaulted the clerk, took cigarettes and ran outside, police said.
They reportedly came back with several other male suspects and one female suspect. The four male suspects struck the clerk again and took more cigarettes and merchandise before fleeing. The store's loss was estimated at $30.
The suspects were described as four white males, 18-20 years old, medium build, wearing all dark clothing and one white female in her 20s.
