Summer-Like Temperatures Continue Into Workweek
Hot temperatures hit the region over the weekend as more 100 degree days are on tap for the workweek.
Sacramento hit 101 degrees Sunday, as well as many other valley locations. The high pressure over the region is responsible for the heat, which we will continue to feel this week.
Monday will be no different, with most spots hitting 100 degree or above. As we get into Wednesday, expect temperatures to fall back to the mid 90s as the delta breeze brings a little relief.
Some moisture from Arizona could also creep into the Sierra, firing off storms by Wednesday. However, most of the action should stay south of the Tahoe area.
By the end of the week, the heat will subside and highs in Sacramento will get back to the low 90s.
