Structure, Vehicles Destroyed In Elk Grove Fire
ELK GROVE, Calif. (CBS13) -- A barn and several vehicles went up in flames Wednesday afternoon, causing two minor injuries.
Authorities said the owner of the affected property on Rau Road spotted the flames spreading while he was tending to his horse and called 911.
Firefighters arrived in time to prevent the flames from spreading to the nearby home, but the barn and several vehicles were destroyed.
The homeowner suffered heat stroke during the incident and his son suffered some burns to his hands trying to fight the fire.
