Stockton Student Brings Loaded Gun To Class
STOCKTON (CBS13) - A student in Stockton was taken into custody Thursday after a loaded gun he brought to school dropped from his pants during class.
The incident happened at Edward C. Merlo Institute of Environmental Technology. A student alerted school officials after he noticed his classmate, 14, had a gun, say Stockton Unified Police.
Officials placed the school on lockdown and a principal and another school official made contact with the student, who was apparently uncooperative. While he was being physically removed from class, the semiautomatic gun dropped from his pants onto the floor.
No students were injured.
