Stockton Police Seek Public's Assistance Identifying Sexual Assault Suspect

    STOCKTON (CBS13) - Stockton police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in an attempted sexual assault.

    The alleged crime took place at the Sherwood Mall on Pacific Avenue on July 16, around 1 p.m.

    The suspect is described as a 19-year-old African-American man, standing at 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 185 pounds.

    Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377, the Investigations Unit at (209) 937-8323, or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.

    Tipsters can also text information to "CRIMES" (274637) and type the keyword TIPSPD and then their tip, or logon to the Stockton Police Department's Facebook page and click "Submit A Tip."

    Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards up to $10,000.
