Stockton Police Searching For Georgia Murder, Kidnapping Suspect
STOCKTON (CBS13) —Stockton Police are on the lookout for a Georgia murder suspect after surrounding a home they believed he was inside.
Mou Moua is a fugitive on the run, wanted by the FBI and U.S. Marshals for kidnapping and the July murder of a 66-year-old man in Georgia.
Police believe he's in the Stockton area, telling CBS13 he may have family or friends here. Cops got an anonymous tip that he was at a home on Alabama Avenue as recently as Wednesday.
"I'm scared. I'm scared for my kids, My kids are scared," said neighbor Edwina McPherson. "We don't want to be in this house. I'm not gonna lie, I'm scared. Ain't no telling what he could do."
We showed fearful neighbors his picture, and sure enough, a few recognized the suspect as someone new they've seen hanging around.
Cops urge everyone to be on the lookout for this very dangerous man, who they say could be back in hiding, or out walking the streets of Stockton.
"Believe me, here at the Stockton Police Department, we don't want him here in Stockton," said Officer Joe Silva, "so if our citizens see him, definitely call 911 so we can get him and get him back on a plane to Georgia."
It's worth emphasizing that if you see Moua, do not approach him and call the cops. Police warn he's armed and dangerous.
