Man Named As Person Of Interest In Violent Stockton Bank Robbery

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Stockton police have released the identify of a person of interest possibly connected to the Stockton Bank robbery in July left three people dead in a bloody shootout.

On Sept. 11, Stockton Police Department investigators arrested a 16-year-old male for accessory after a fact and gang charges for allegedly dropping off the getaway car used in the July 16 robbery, Stockton Police Chief Eric Jones announced Monday in a press conference.

The teen remains in custody at juvenile hall. Police believe he is associated with the same Norteno gang as the other suspects in the robbery.

Pablo Ruvalcaba, a 21-year-old man, who is wanted for questioning as possibly being the driver who dropped the gunmen at the Bank of the West on July 16, said Jones.

Also at the press conference, a spokesperson for ATF said the AK-47-style rifle used in the incident has no identifiable markings. He said the agency is offering a $5,000 reward information leading to the person who made the rifle.

On July 16, 2014, three women, including a customer, Misty Holt-Singh, 41, and two female employees, were taken hostage during a robbery at the bank.

A police pursuit and shootout followed when the robbers fled with the hostages in an SUV owned by one of the employees. The two bank employees survived the ordeal by either jumping or getting thrown from the SUV as it sped through town.

Two of the suspects and Holt-Singh were found dead at the end of a final gun battle. Jaime Ramos, 19, the third suspect who police say used Holt-Singh as a human shield, has been charged with murder.

Ramos will appear back in court Monday, according to San Joaquin County Deputy District Attorney Mark Ott.

Ramos was arrested after allegedly using hostage Misty Holt-Singh as a human shield. The 41-year-old mother of two died along with two suspects during a gun battle with police. Holt-Singh was killed by police gunfire.

Ramos is facing 35 criminal counts, including multiple murder charges, and could face the death penalty if convicted.
