Stockton Parolee At Large Reportedly Runs From Officers, Leaves Drugs Behind
STOCKTON (CBS13) - The Stockton Police Department is looking for a parolee after he reportedly ran from officers on Wednesday morning.
Police and corrections officers went to a residence in the 2000 block of Pyrenees Avenue at about 11:45 a.m. to look for Ronnie Lea, 39, a parolee-at-large.
As officers approached the home, Lea and another parolee at large, Luther Hale, 38, reportedly ran out the back of the residence.
As officers gave chase, Hale was immediately apprehended and arrested. Lea was able to escape but discarded a backpack containing a firearm, 1 pound of methamphetamine, 2 pounds of cocaine, and 100 Ecstasy pills, police said.
Lea is considered to be armed and dangerous.
