Starbucks Will Stop Bottling Ethos Water From Drought-Stricken California
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Less than a week after CBS13 called out Starbucks for drawing its bottled water supply from drought-stricken California, the company has announced it will move production elsewhere
A bottle of Ethos water didn't need to make a long trip to get to a Midtown Sacramento Starbucks. After all, it was pumped out of Placer County and bottled in Merced.

Water activists decried the company for bottling water during the fourth year of the state's historic drought while residents nearby are being asked to slash water use by as much as 36 percent.
The company says it will move production to its supplier in Pennsylvania over the next sixth months and continue to look for alternative sources and suppliers for its West Coast distribution.
