Southwest Blasted For Support After Mishap

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Passengers involved in last week's midair emergency on a Southwest flight from Phoenix to Sacramento said they are growing frustrated because the airline hasn't directly contacted them.

Several of the passengers on Southwest Flight 812 said an airline representative promised they would get a follow up call the next day, but five days later, they have not heard from the company.

"They passed around a notepad and you know asked for our contact information," said Gerald Combs, who was with his 6-year-old daughter on the flight last Friday. "So far the communication's been one way. We've gotten one email without any contact information from them, saying, you know, if you have any questions or concerns, you know, contact us."

A spokesperson with Southwest Airlines declined to be interviewed, but the company later issued a statement, saying, "As far as I'm aware, we did not make any announcements promising to call Customers."

Combs said the flight crew did an amazing job during the emergency and hopes the company will do the same soon.

All of the affected passengers have received a refund and two free tickets.
