South Sacramento shooting kills known gang member, deputies say
SACRAMENTO – A known gang member was killed in a shooting late Friday night in south Sacramento, authorities said.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says the shooting happened at an apartment complex on 48th Avenue in south Sacramento just before midnight.
The victim, who deputies said was a man in his 20s and a known gang member, was shot in the chest and died.
Homicide detectives took over the investigation. There are no known suspects at this time.
