South Lake Tahoe Motel Robbers Threaten Clerk With Knife, Gun
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (CBS13) - South Lake Tahoe police are searching for three people who carried out an armed robbery at a motel on Saturday night.
The robbery happened at around 11:30 p.m. at the Pinewood Inn on the 3800 block of Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
Police tell CBS affiliate KTVN in Reno that a woman wearing a hooded sweatshirt knocked at the front lobby door that was locked. She told the clerk that she needed a room, and when the clerk opened the door, two men wearing ski masks and gloves entered the office. One of the men had a gun and pushed the clerk behind the counter. The other man was armed with a large hunting knife and placed it near the clerk's neck. The woman then demanded money as the man with a gun opened the cash drawer and took some cash.
The robbers left in a brown four-door Cadillac heading eastbound towards the casino corridor.
The female suspect is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall with a small build. She was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black gloves.
The male suspect who had the gun is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, dark jeans, black ski mask and black gloves.
The male suspect with the knife is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches with a medium build. He was dressed all in black with a black mask and black gloves.
