Solano County High School Swim Coach Arrested For Sex With Student

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – A Solano County high school swim coach has been arrested on charges of having sex with a student.

The Fairfield Police Department said they arrested 20-year-old Jonathan Mathis on campus at the school for allegedly maintaining an intimate relationship with a current female student for nearly a year.

Mathis, a volunteer water polo coach, began the relationship when the alleged victim was 15 years old. The victim cooperated with police.

Mathis has been booked into Solano County jail.
