Soccer Coach Accused Of Sex With Teen

ELK GROVE, Calif. (CBS13) -- A youth soccer coach has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a minor, authorities said.

The Sacramento Police Department said the director of the Elk Grove Everton Football Club, 36-year-old Art Temblador, was found committing a sexual act on a 16-year-old girl in a car.

The youth soccer club leader bailed out of prison Sunday and was unable to be reached for comment. It is not clear if the alleged victim had any connection with the club.

Devonte Dozier, one of Temblador's former players, said he was stunned to hear about the allegations and doesn't believe it fits the suspect's character.

"I know he wouldn't do anything like that," Dozier said. "Sexual assault? No."

The Everton Football club issued a statement Sunday, saying, "The Board has placed Mr. Temblador on administrative leave without pay for up to 30 days pending investigation. The Board will take further action as appropriate. Because of the serious legal nature of this matter, the Board cannot comment further."

Temblador is expected to be arraigned within the next couple days.
