Slight Cool Expected Before Temperatures Soar

It was a hot close to the weekend with temperatures topping out in the mid 90s for many valley locations.

Monday will bring another round of hot weather with highs in the low 90s. But some slight cooling is on the way for Tuesday as a low pressure system brews off the coast, brining in some cooler air.

This same system will also bring the chance for some isolated mountain showers Monday and Tuesday. However, valley locations will remain dry.

After that, it is all downhill with temperatures set to soar. By Friday, Sacramento is looking at highs hovering around 104 degrees. Saturday won't be much better with high expected to top out around 105 degrees.

If we get that hot, it could break some high temperature records for that day.
