Sixth Man Arrested In December Barbershop Shooting

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested in a sixth and final suspect in connection with a shootout at a Sacramento barbershop in December that killed two, including a mother shielding her toddler from the attack.

Larry Dean Jones was being held without bail in Sacramento County Main Jail after his arrest Thursday on suspicion of murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

Detectives had been looking for Jones since a Dec. 14 shootout in Sacramento between two groups of men inside a barbershop.

During the shootout, 30-year-old Monique Nelson was killed while protecting her 2-year-old son. A 20-year-old relative of Barksdale was also killed. Five others were wounded.

Five other men have already been charged in the case.

It's not known if Jones had retained an attorney.
