Sierra To Get More Snow From New California Storms
SACRAMENTO (AP) - The National Weather Service says the Sierra Nevada will get more snow as a new wave of winter-like storms push through California.
The first wave of significant snow is predicted from Friday into Saturday.
Forecasters say there will be a break in rain and snow Saturday night and then another storm is expected to spread over Northern California on Sunday — a wet pattern that will continue through Christmas Day.
To the south, a frost advisory is in effect Friday morning for the Central Coast, which will feel the effects of a fast-moving storm system early Saturday morning. That rain should spread southeastward into Ventura and Los Angeles counties by Saturday afternoon.
