Sheriff's Dept.: Missing Sacramento County Teen Could Be In Danger

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) - Deputies are searching for a missing teen who is considered to be at-risk because of the people she is believed to be with.

Tiajhanay Ward-Burt, 13, is described by authorities as a mixed-race female with a light-skinned complexion, brown eyes and long braided brown hair with extensions. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 120 pounds, according to Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Sgt. Lisa Bowman.

She was last seen wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, a grey "Cali" hooded sweatshirt, multi-colored parachute pants and black tennis shoes.

Ward-Burt was last seen on March 20, 2015 leaving her residence in the 6500 Block of Larry Way for school, which is on Larchmont Drive. Although her location is a mystery, she is believed to be communicating with family members who have no custodial right to her.

Authorities say she is with people who will "likely endanger her welfare."

Anyone who may have seen Tiajhanay or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department at (916) 874-5115.
