Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. (CBS13) – Information from the public after a composite sketch of a suspect was released earlier this week proved crucial in arresting a sexual assault suspect, according to authorities.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said 21-year-old Hector Correa was arrested Saturday at his home for the home invasion and sexual assault of a Rancho Cordova woman last week.
The 50-year-old victim was asleep in her home on Vehicle Drive when a man crawled through her window and attacked her on January 10.
Valuable information leading to the arrest came from the release of a composite sketch last week, authorities said.
Correa is facing several felony charges and is being held without bail.
