Several Hurt As Tow Truck Smashes Into LA Shop
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Authorities now say six people were injured -- one critically -- when a tow truck smashed through the front of a fast-food restaurant in Los Angeles.
The truck, which was hauling a pickup truck, ran into the Yoshinoya restaurant shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
Fire Department spokesman Matt Spence says five of the six people hurt were taken to hospitals. One was listed as critical and the other four are in fair condition.
The restaurant is in a two-story mini-mall and the upper story was evacuated until authorities can determine whether the building is safe.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
