Series Of Small Quakes Rattle NorCal

REDDING, Calif. (AP) -- A series of small earthquakes hit in Shasta County, but authorities say there were no reports of any damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey says that four quakes ranging from size from magnitude 3.5 to 2.5 struck between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 12:30 a.m. Sunday and all were centered about 30 miles east of Redding.

The dispatch office for the Shasta County Sheriff's Department and the Redding Police said there were no reports of damage.

The USGS website included several reports from area residents reporting they felt the quakes.
