Serial Bank Robbery Suspect From Stockton Arrested
STOCKTON (CBS13) - A 22-year-old Stockton man suspected six Northern California bank robberies was arrested earlier this week.
Jeremy Morton is suspected of robbing four Bank of West branches, two in Stockton, one in Concord and another in Oakland, over the past two months.
He's also suspected of robbing a Citi Bank in San Leandro on March 24 and a Chase Bank in Livermore on March 26.
Morton was arrested by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department during a traffic stop on Sunday.
According to a Stockton Police press release, Morton's arrest was the result of a collaborative investigation between local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. He will be prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Sacramento.
