Stagecoach Fire In Calaveras County Threatening Homes Near Copperopolis

COPPEROPOLIS (CBS13) - A fire is burning close to homes in the Calaveras County town of Copperopolis.

The fire, which is being called the Stagecoach Fire, started Tuesday in the area of 3400 Stagecoach Road and has burned 35 acres just off of Highway 4, according to a statement from Cal Fire. Forward progress of the fire has stopped and the blaze is 30% contained.

Highway 4 is closed at Horseshoe Drive. Expect delays.

Firefighting aircraft are being moved from the Pacheco fire, which is also burning in Calaveras County.
