Schools No Longer On Lockdown As Police Search For Suspect In South Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Two schools are on longer on lockdown as Sacramento police search a South Sacramento neighborhood for a driver who led them on a short car chase and then ran from the vehicle.
Police now believe they know who the suspect is and are unsure why he ran. However, the man is not in custody and officers are still searching in the area near Martin Luther King Boulevard and 21st Avenue.
Christian Brothers High School and Oakridge Elementary School had been on a precautionary lockdown but that has been lifted.
