Sacramento's 'Sign Lady' Enters ESPN Fan Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Barbara Rust! Best known as "The Sign Lady," today Rust entered ESPN's Fan Hall of Fame for her devotion to the Sacramento Kings. She received over 85,000 votes and is joined by two additional inductees: Canaan Sandy and Pierce Wallace.
Rust has been described as the "heart of our fan base" for good reason. Despite battling breast cancer, Rust hasn't missed a Kings' home game since 1985. At each game you can bet she'll always be holding a sign and cheering on the Kings.
"The inductees received outstanding support from their teams, communities and fellow fans throughout the voting period," said Jeffrey Gonyo, senior director of sports marketing at ESPN. "We look forward to bringing Barbara, Canaan and Pierce to our headquarters to honor their passion and dedication."
They will be honored in 2014 at a special induction ceremony to take place at ESPN's Bristol, Conn., campus, in which Sacramento's Sign Lady, Sandy and Pierce will be honored by having their names engraved onto vintage stadium chairs.
