Sacramento Police Arrest Safety Vest Robbery Suspects
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento Police have arrested two men for two different bank robberies where the suspects wore safety vests.
Police arrested 22-year-old Dion Johnson and 25-year-old Edward Broughton.
The two are suspected in two Sacramento bank robberies in September and November of 2010.
In both robberies, the suspects were described as black men in their 20's wearing yellow or orange neon safety vests and masks to cover their faces.
Police say in both robberies witnesses were able to get partial license plate information on the suspect vehicles.
Detectives investigated and were able to to link Dion Johnson to the bank robbery in September and link his half brother Edward Broughton to the bank robbery in November.
Detectives are still investigating the robberies to determine who the suspect's accomplices were.
