Sacramento Man Stabbed While Sleeping
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Police are searching for the suspect who attacked a man while he was sleeping and stabbed him repeatedly, leaving him with serious injuries.
The victim, described as being in his 60s, was asleep in his home on 33rd Street when the assault took place Sunday morning, according to authorities.
The man was stabbed in the back and neck, but was able to run to a neighbor's house for help. Emergency crews rushed him to the UC Davis Medical Center and treated him for serious injuries.
The victim is expected to survive.
Family members say the assailant may have been the victim's girlfriend, but police have not released the identities of any possible suspects.
