Sacramento Man Accused Of Setting Up Sexual Meeting With Minor
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — Citrus Heights Police arrested a man who allegedly drove 22 miles to meet up with someone he thought was a young child at a family park.
William Thomas, 31, of Sacramento is accused of arranging a sexual encounter with a child at Madera Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Police aren't saying how Thomas contacted their officers, but the report indicates Thomas thought a child would be at the park, but police greeted him instead.
Neighbors say he lives with his mom and describe him as a quiet person who has brief conversations.
He's facing felony charges of meeting with a minor for the purpose of a sexual encounter. His bail is set at $100,000.
