Sacramento Fire Fighters And City Reach Tentative Deal To Restore Cuts
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13) - Sacramento fire fighters have reached a tentative deal with the city that would restore some cuts.
The deal includes partially restoring fire company closures now in effect and re-instating Rescue, Hazmat and Boat Rescue.
In return, fire fighters agreed to salary and benefit concessions.
"This deal is conceptual and much will be required in the coming days to hammer out the specifics and get it ready for council approval" said Jaymes Butler, Vice President of Sacramento Area Firefighters.
Both sides need to decide on the specifics. They could finalize it as early as August 15.
