Sacramento County shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 with life-threatening injuries
NORTH HIGHLANDS – One person has died and another was hospitalized after a shooting in Sacramento County late Wednesday night.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says, a little after 10:30 p.m., deputies responded near Watt and Myrtle avenues to investigate a reported shooting.
There, first responders found two people, both males, had been shot. One of the people died at the scene, deputies say, prompting homicide investigators to be called to the scene.
The other person who was shot had life-threatening injuries, deputies say. That person was rushed to the hospital and their condition has not been updated.
Exactly what led up to the shooting is still under investigation.
Detectives have not released any suspect information.
