Missing Sacramento Child Found Safe

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Deputies say a young boy was returned home safe Wednesday after going missing since the weekend.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department issued an alert for 6-year-old Raymond Peters, who went missing after he was last seen with his mother, 29-year-old Tricia Pelletier, during a court-ordered visitation Friday night.

Pelletier does not have legal custody of the boy and failed to return him to his father and grandmother Sunday evening.

Peters suffers from asthma, and authorities feared Pelletier does not have the medication the boy needs to treat his condition.

Pelletier apparently returned the boy to his grandmother Wednesday after seeing media attention on his disappearance. It is not immediately clear whether she will face charges for the incident.
