Roseville Man Accused Of Abusing Players, Arrested On 3 Fraud Charges
ROSEVILLE (CBS13) - The 24-year-old Roseville man arrested for allegedly abusing players enrolled in the basketball academy run out of his home has been arrested for the second time in two months, but this time for fraud.
Francis Amiteye Ngissah was arrested at his Roseville home on Woodleaf Circle Wednesday afternoon in connection with three separate fraud cases.
Police say Ngissah used fraudulent checks from closed accounts to pay two Roseville businesses for auto parts and groceries. He is also suspected of signing over the deed to a house he doesn't own as collateral to a bail bondsman.
In January, Ngissah was booked into the Placer County Jail and released after posting $100,000 bail. He was arrested on suspicion of child abuse after four alleged victims enrolled in his CCSE Prep Academy, an organization advertised as a private college preparatory school for basketball athletes, came to the Roseville Police Department to report having been subjected to unusual physical punishment.
Police arrested Ngissah without incident and booked him into the Roseville City Jail on suspicion of entering places of business with intent to commit fraud, forgery, theft and other related charges. He is being held on $55,000 bail.
