Roseville Couple, Child Tied Up During Home Invasion
ROSEVILLE (CBS13) -- Two armed men tied up a Roseville family, including a small child, and robbed their home Wednesday night, according to police.
Two suspects rang the doorbell and knocked on the door of a home on Glenbrook Avenue at about 9:20 p.m., police said. When the male resident of the home answered the door, the suspects entered armed with handguns and used zip-ties to tie up the couple and a 6-year-old by their hands and feet, police said.
The suspects took a small gun safe that held a handgun, cell phone and small amount of cash. No one was injured.
"I would be absolutely petrified if someone came into my house and did that," a neighbor told CBS13's Derek Shore. "It is scary because it is only a few houses down the street."
The family had just returned from church.
"They are a good family, and just normal, working-hard family," a neighbor said. "Here in Roseville, something like that is a big shock for me."
One suspect was described as a black, in his mid-20s, 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a thin build, wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The other was described as a black, about 30, 6 feet tall, wearing a dark baseball cap and a gray hooded sweatshirt. There was no vehicle description.
This appears to be a random robbery, police said.
"There is nothing to indicate that they were specically targeted," said Sgt. Cal Walstad.
