Man Stabbed During Apparent Robbery Attempt
MODESTO (CBS13) -- A Las Vegas man is in stable but critical condition Monday after he was stabbed multiple times over the weekend during an apparent plot to rob him and his friend.
Juan Carlos Felix, 35, was attacked outside of a warehouse located in the 1100 block of Kansas Avenue in unincorporated Modesto. Deputies say that he and his friend, Rojelio Escobar, 20, left the El Paradiso bar with two woman at closing time and drove to the warehouse. There, two men, one armed with a knife and another with a baseball bat, attacked Felix and Escobar. Felix was stabbed and Escobar was hit with the bat. Escobar's injuries were minor.
When deputies arrived, they found the two victims about 500 feet from the warehouse. Investigators think the men wanted to rob the victims, although they did not take anything.
The suspects have been described as follows:
Suspect #1- White female adult, 24-27-years-old, blonde hair, 5' 6" in height, weighing 130-140 pounds.
Suspect #2- White female adult, 33-34-years-old, long blonde hair, 5'6" in height, weighing 220 pounds.
Suspect #3- Hispanic male adult, 35-36-years-old, black beard and moustache, 5'4"-5'5" in height, and weighing 160 pounds.
Suspect #4- Hispanic male adult, 22-years-old, weighing 220-pounds.
At this point, no suspects have been arrested.
