Report: Vlade Divac To Emerge As Kings' Leader In The Front Office
Five weeks ago Vlade Divac was hired by the Sacramento Kings as the Vice President of Basketball and Franchise Operations, a title that seem vague at the time. Now, it appears the title translates to being the leader in the front office.
A source informed ESPN.com's Marc Stein, that Divac has "quietly emerged as the new lead voice of the Sacramento Kings' front office."

Nothing formal has been announced from the Kings. Rumors have been swirling around about Divac's role in the ball club. It is reported that Divac's presence has limited GM Pete D'Alessandro's and former Kings adviser Chris Mullin'S voice in the last couple of weeks. Mullin recently jumped ship to become the new head coach at St. John's, his alma mater.
There are still questions about D'Alessandro's role and future with the Kings. He is still the General Manager but after Mullin's departure, his closest ally in the front office, it would be interesting to see if he is still around next season.
