Report: 49ers To Hire Geep Chryst To Run Offense
The 49ers didn't have to go far to find their new offensive coordinator as they're expected to hire Geep Chryst to run the offense.
Chryst has been the 49ers' QB coach since 2011 and was an offensive coordinator in the NFL for the Chargers, but that was a long time ago. His quarterbacks? Well, he had former 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh and Erik Kramer in 1999, and in 2000 he coached former No. 2 pick Ryan Leaf, Harbaugh and Moses Moreno.
He now has the task of developing Colin Kaepernick and revitalizing a disappointing offense.
He is credited for the one of the most famous plays in 49ers history.
