Rash Of Swift Burglaries Have Elk Grove Residents Concerned
ELK GROVE (CBS13) — Elk Grove residents are concerned about a rash of break-ins during which witnesses say the thieves are in and out of homes in seconds.
There have been dozens of break-ins throughout the city, and usually in broad daylight.
"Typically most of the burglaries happened during the daytime," said Elk Grove Police officer Chris Trim. "Very rarely are they in the nighttime."
Between January and March, Elk Grove police say they've responded to 130 burglaries.
Elk Grove resident Michele Watson says just last month, she and her husband saw a well-dressed guy walking up to her neighbor's home. Within minutes, he was inside and he wasn't alone.
It only took seconds. By the time neighbors called 911 and the cops showed up, the crooks were gone.
